The natural protective layer on the leahter surface of the handbag will gradually wear off. Proper stroage and regular maintance will retain its natural luster and prolong the lifespan of your Deborah handbags.
Basic Leather Bag Cleaning Procedure:
D’eborah handbags are made with specially-select, high-grade leather from Europe and USA. We recommend that you only use cleaning liquids specially formulated to clean and maintain leather.
Before cleaning your handbag, please spray the cleaning liquid onto a clean and dry cloth. First test clean a non-obvious corner at the bottom of your handbag. Check the color of the leather after the surface is dry. If the leather turns black, stop using as it means the cleaning liquid is not suitable for your handbag.
If the liquid does not harm your bag, spray more cleaning liquid onto the cloth and clean other areas of the bag. Do not wipe your bag roughly; please wait for the bag to dry naturally. The bag will return to its original color after drying. Check your bag for sweat stains, if there is still some dirt residue, repeat the cleaning process.
Basic Leather Bag Maintenance Procedure:
After cleaning, we recommend that you only use specially formulated products to maintain your leather bag’s softness and luster.
Do not rub your bag against sharp objects and rough surfaces to prevent damage. Do not expose your bag to strong sunlight, extreme heat or pressure. Do not place your bag near flammable products as well.
Do not get your bag accessories wet, or place the accessories near acidic products. Please clean the accessories with a soft, clean cloth. The accessories may lose the original luster or be damaged from scratches, dirt and sweat.
If your bag is caught in the rain, exposed to wetness or mildew, please use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away the water residue immediately.
When your bag is dirty, do not use leather shoe oil or eraser to clean your bag, as this will wear away the natural oil protective layer of your leather bag.
Before storing your bag, ensure that you clean your bag from dust, then add a layer of protective cream, put rolled-up, dry paper balls inside to maintain the bag’s shape and then put the bag in the dust-proof bag.
Ensure that the space you use to store the bag is properly ventilated. Do not store too many articles on the same space so that your bag will not be pressed out of shape.
